Product Description

This sake brewery manages the entire process—from cultivating sake rice and milling it to brewing and selling the final product—thereby embodying the concept of a "domaine" in the world of wine. The product was named "Kisaki" (meaning "Empress" or "Queen") after Masaharu Oka—former president and current honorary president of the Japan Sommelier Association—described its flavor profile as "gentle and possessing the refined elegance of a woman." At the awards ceremony held during the Hyper Japan event in London in November 2018, the "Kisaki 28" (distinguished by its specific rice-polishing ratio) took first place. This particular offering is a Daiginjo sake crafted with a higher rice-polishing ratio than the "Kisaki 28"; while it retains a delicate character, it also delivers a rich, full-bodied flavor profile.
