In the waterways that flow through our brewery, mokkuzugani (Japanese mitten crabs) live and thrive.
Last year, some of these crabs wandered into the brewery, and inspired by their presence, we decided to create this sake as a tribute to them.
Though it may sound like a human’s selfish reasoning, we named this sake with the hope of receiving the same vitality and energy that these lively creatures embody. It is truly a sake that gives you strength.
It pairs wonderfully with crab dishes — whether steamed, grilled, or fried — enhancing the rich and savory flavors of the crab.
