Born in 1978, visual artist and sculptor. Associate Professor, Department of Sculpture, Kyoto City University of Arts. Known for creating works using collage-like techniques with everyday objects as materials. He has held solo exhibitions at Yokohama Museum of Art (2009), Ullens Center for Contemporary Art (2013), Marugame Genichiro-Inokuma Museum of Contemporary Art (2016), among others, and has participated in exhibitions both in Japan and abroad. Kaneuji has also worked in stage design and has received numerous awards, including the Kyoto City New Artist Award in 2012.
The label artwork is also exhibited inside the Osaka Expo venue as part of “Study: Osaka Kansai International Art Festival / EXPO PUBLIC ART.”
