Product Description
This sake is Kosai Daiginjo, a mellow and fruity sake, crafted in Tomiya city, which is located about 400km north of Tokyo. The renowned Uchigasaki Brewery, known for producing the well-loved sake brand “Hoyo” 鳳陽 is also the creator of “Kosai Daiginjo”.
The name “Kosai” 虎哉 is believed to be inspired by the samurai “Date Masamune”, who was a powerful damiyo(feudal lord) during the Sengoku period and early Edo period in Japan. He had played a significant role in the unification of Japan under the Tokugawa bakufu.
