Product Description
Enjoy Kagura “Aki-agari” this autumn, the season of hearty appetites.
While the popular autumn sake Hiyaoroshi is typically pasteurized and then aged for about half a year before shipping, Seifu differs—it is stored raw at sub-zero temperatures for six months. After maturing over the summer in freezing conditions, the sake gently rounds out, keeping a hint of freshness while developing smooth depth.
Seifu is a blend of several varieties of Kagura that reach peak flavor in this season. A sweet, fruity aroma reminiscent of ripe pears and apples intertwines with the calm richness of maturation, accented by nutty fullness.
The taste is mild yet shows a supple sharpness. It pairs beautifully with everything from light to hearty dishes, satisfying the appetite and refined palate as we head into winter. Concentrated umami makes this Kagura sake highly versatile at the table. The vibrant liveliness of the active yeast can be felt directly on the tongue.
