Product Description

The name was inspired by the image of “magma”, symbolizing the overflowing umami of Akaiwa Omachi rice, surging with intense heat and energy.
We hope that with each cup, you will feel this magma-like passion—powerful and burning—settle within you, one sip at a time.

Omachi rice has been used by Eiko Fuji since 2015. Before Yamada Nishiki became the dominant sake rice, Omachi once took the sake world by storm, gaining widespread acclaim at competitions and tastings. It is the only sake rice variety that has been cultivated continuously for over 100 years without interruption.
As a soft-grained rice, Omachi is also known for being difficult to polish to high levels.
In the Shonai region, many breweries use Omachi rice, including Tohoku Izumi, Fumotoi, Hatsumago, and Dewazakura.
This sake was previously selected as a featured product for the Kikawaya Original Local Sake Subscription Program.
