Product Description
A Junmai Daiginjo sake brewed using "Hana-omoi" (Hyakuyonju)—a sake rice variety from Aomori Prefecture. It features an elegant aroma and a refined flavor profile that truly befits the pinnacle of Aomori sake.
"Hyakuyonju" (meaning "140") is the name of a rice variety; it derives from its designation as "Aokei No. 140" during its development in Aomori Prefecture. It is now known as "Hana-omoi" (meaning "Flower Thoughts"). This name was chosen to evoke the vibrant, colorful imagery of Aomori’s four seasons and to express the hope that the sake would "bloom like a magnificent flower" within the brewery. [Aroma & Flavor] It features a refreshing, fruity aroma reminiscent of green apples. The palate is clean and refined, revealing the gentle, savory umami of the rice. As an "Aomori Junmai Daiginjo" crafted from local rice, it stands as one of the brewery's signature labels.
